2010 Rocks!

Let's just say that, typically, January is not a good month for me. Not only am I forced to realize that yes, I've grown another year older, but usually everyone in my house is sick. Really sick.

While we've had a little bit of illness sprinkled in the past few weeks, it doesn't seem to be overshadowing all the wonderful things going on. Anyone who knows me well, knows I've been trying to get published for quite some time now. While it hasn't happened yet, I have had a several very exciting things happen, one of which was a phone call from an agent this past weekend. Woot! This means I'm on track. I'm doing something right!

Ya know its funny I remember how miserable winters could be in my house growing up when one person was sick. And I've been living on my own as an "adult" for the last 2 years and over thanksgiving I visited my parents and my dad was sick. Man, I felt like my mom must have felt like when I was a kid. Every time he sneezed I was diving under furniture or jumping out a window to avoid his germs. He probably wondered why by the end of the weekend I was wearing a poncho and a helmet. No germs please. Thanks.

Thanks, Martha! You bet I will keep you all posted.

Boomka- Yes! I feel like hosing myself down with antiseptic after a long day of being coughed on. Not fun! I've had my fill of winter and am ready for some sun.
