Have I mentioned before just how difficult parenting is? No? Hmm...Well, maybe that's because my brain oozed out my ears while passed out on my kitchen floor, exhausted from a long day of molding my children into decent human beings. Let's just say my six year old has been pushing boundaries and testing limits as of late, and I'm not having it any more. As a result, she's coming to grips with a few consequences she doesn't like. I keep telling her it's all about the choices. Make a better choice, things won't seem so bad. Sigh...Can I get off this ride now, and someone else take over? Lol!
Consequences don't suck any less for me either. I've been editing like a mad woman all week. Every spare moment not spent sleeping, eating or driving my children around has been dedicated to ripping apart and rebuilding my manuscript into something stronger, better, faster than it was before. Sheesh! Sounds like I recreated the Six Million Dollar Man! Ha! My poor house has suffered under the lack of attention, and I'm now suffering the fallout of my week spent glued to my computer. I've got a mountain of laundry and a crapload of chores. Was what I was doing worth the extra work I'm stuck with now? Hell yes! See...it's all about the choices. Hopefully mine will pay out in the end.
