Good Eats for the Big Game

Okay, so I don't normally post on Sundays, or at least, I haven't in a while. But hey, I'm up and the computer is on so I figured, 'what the heck?' I'm a bit tired so I'm keeping this post nice and easy by sharing with you the recipe for Easy Chili I am making to share with my friends today.

Easy Chili:

1 lb ground beef
1 onion chopped
1 green pepper chopped
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 Tbsp chili powder
2 tsp Worcestershire sauce (if you can pronounce that correctly, I have a dollar for you) J/k, actually I don't, I'm poor...
29 oz can tomato sauce
3 16oz cans kidney beans (beans, beans, the wonderful fruit....)
14 1/2 oz can crushed tomatoes
6oz can tomato paste
2 cups grated cheddar cheese for garnish

Brown meat in skillet. Add onion and pepper halfway through browning process. Drain and pour into crock pot.

Stir in remaining ingredients except for the cheese.

Cover and cook on high for three hours or low for seven to eight hours.

Serve in bowls topped with cheese.

A word of caution. This is chili we are talking about, so you might want to send hubby on a quick run to the local market for some Beano or some other flatulent preventing medication. While tasty, this chili significantly adds to the world's supply of methane gas. Fun stuff!
