Today's post is dedicated to my sometimes spastic, usually stubborn, but always sweet oldest daughter. She's fifteen, which tells you right there that everything in her world right now is full of DRAMA, lol.
She's been having some difficulty at cheer practice as of late with a certain skill. She's mastered it, lost it, mastered it again, and then lost it yet again. Not fun, but typical I think for higher level tumbling. Or maybe not, lol. What do I know?
Anyway...it seems no matter what I say, my daughter is determined to have a defeatist attitude about the situation, which of course irritates me to no end. "Why put yourself down?" I say. "Stay strong. Stick with it. You did it before. You can do it again!" Perseverance is key. Never give up. Fight the fight. If then, for whatever reason, you don't succeed, at least you'll have given it your all. On the other hand, if you attack the struggle head on and come out the other side on top, you will have proven to yourself and everyone else that, "Hey...I am that good. I'm the shizz, and look at what I did!"
This same idea can be applied to every aspect of your life, and pretty much any situation. Never give up. Never surrender. Stay strong, peeps!
