My thoughts on the Survivor finale

Happy Monday, peeps!

Song of the day- California Girls by Katy Perry

I don't know how the weather is where you are, but it's raining here. Raining! We had awesome weather over the weekend.  The girls swam, we got some vitamin D sittin in the sun, and it was all kinds of good.  Then I wake up this morning to find nothing but a whole lot of grey choking out the sun.  Bah!

Okay, so on to Survivor.  Can I just tell you how happy I am that this little troll didn't win?

Yes, I will give credit where credit is due.  The man is smart.  Or should I say, shifty?  Yeah, shifty works better.  Regardless, Russell was king as far as finding hidden immunity idols and bullying people into doing his bidding.

However. And let me tell ya, this is a big however.  When it came to a social game, the man was dumber than a box of rocks.  You can't bully people, hound them night and day and walk around like an open sore that irritates constantly, and expect people to vote for you in the end.  Get a clue, Russell!

On to the winner.

Do I think she was the strongest player?  Nope.  Do I think she had the best social game?  Nope.  Am I still bitter Boston Rob was ousted early on?  Yep.

Yeah...My feelings about Sandra winning lie along the lines of "meh."  I'm just happy Russell and Parvati didn't win.

Oh, and on a side note.  Aren't the contestants allowed one luxury item?  Or is that something they did away with?  My friends and I had a discussion about this the other night and we agreed, if you're a woman, you should bring a friggin razor.  Everytime one of the girls raised an arm I threw up in my mouth a little bit.  Yeah, I know, it's petty.  They're subjecting themselves to the elements for a month and they aren't showering regularly, yada, yada, yada. What can I say?  I'm petty like that.  Laser that @#!* off before you go on the show, cuz honey, the entire world is looking at your hairy pits.  Blegh!

Hey--I saw your Tweet and came right over! I share your joy that the troll didn't win. And he still doesn't get it. He's handed a golden opportunity to learn something about himself, and he completely ignores it. I thought Jeff handled him perfectly at the reunion show "That's a different game, Russel."

I actually really liked Sandra and thought she played brilliantly. The thing about her social game is this--she says things straight out and not in the most tactful way, BUT this makes people tend to think that whatever she's got to say, she says it their face and they never suspect what she actually IS saying behind their backs. And I cannot believe that Russel, master idol finder, gives her zero credit for not only finding that last hidden immunity, but being the only one with brains enough to not tell another soul about it. It would have been fun to watch her and Boston Rob play the game together for a lot longer. Stupid Tyson.

No kidding on the hairy armpits. Didn't it seem that there were several seasons in the middle where the girls did get the laser? But this group was definitely playing old school gorilla girl style.

Thanks for providing my morning Survivor fix. Now it's off to do the million and one things on the agenda for the day.

Yes! It would have been awesome to see Sandra and Rob together at the end. Ah well...
And lmao at the "Old girl gorilla style!"

Last season I was a Russell fan. Until about 1/2 way through this season I still liked the way he played the game. I now agree with you, Lisa. He is a troll! I'm very happy that he didn't win. And, watching Jeff cut him off during the finale was priceless!!!

Oh, I'm so thrilled that Russell did not win! James on the other hand was very upset...for some reason he really wanted him to win. Need to work on that boy! lol. I was rooting for Boston Rob and Rupert the whole time, after they left I could careless who won, as long as it wasn't Russell.

Now, on to other important matters....the last few hours of Lost! :) ;)
