So, Wednesday has always been sort of a ho-hum day. You know what I mean? People refer to it as "Hump Day"myself included, and we can't wait for Friday to come because that signals the end of the work week.  I propose, instead of looking at Wednesday as a day to get through, we use it to celebrate good things that have happened to us, or things we are thankful for.

I hereby proclaim Wednesday at the Cheer Mom blog "Woohoo! Wednesday!"

I'll start...squee!

• I went out to coffee with my crit partner, Kristin Miller yesterday. I'm beyond excited for her as she just signed with an agent!  Check out her blog, Pararomance, and sign up to follow.  She's giving away a signed copy of EOS, and trust me, peeps, she's gonna be huge. HUGE! Her writing that is, not her lol!! Woohoo!
• I got my hair cut! My stylist has been on maternity leave and I'm so excited to have her back! Woohoo! 
• There's not much in the way of television programming nowadays that caters to the American family as a whole.  Don't get me wrong, I'm a total fan of gratuitous violence and hot, steamy sex.  BUT...and it's a big-ass but...I don't want my kids watching that kind of television.  What's good for me is most certainly NOT good for my children.  So, you can imagine how giddy I was when the good folks over at ABC started airing Wipeout.  It's ridiculous, it's fun, and best of all, I don't have to douse my children's eyes with bleach after they watch an episode.  Woohoo!!

In case you've been living under a rock, I'll give you a quick rundown of the shows premise.

People from all walks of life––big, little, fit, out of shape, all try and make their way through a padded obstacle course designed to take out the toughest of athletes.

A pair of snarky commentators award the hapless contestants with silly nicknames while verbally abusing them during the playback of their performance. It's stupid, mindless fun and I LOVE it!

How these people are not breaking their necks, I will never know. Check out these pics!
